A Great Land

of our Ancestors

The great wine-growing terroirs of Fronsac and Canon Fronsac are set in superb landscapes of plateaux and hillsides. This terroir typicity is accentuated by the relief, which provides the estate with extraordinary geological assets.

The 15-hectare vineyard, located in a single block, enjoys a veritable mosaic of subsoils, made up of Fronsac molasse and a limestone plateau where truffle oaks grow.

Situated on one of Fronsac’s highest points, like a peninsula, the hillside vines benefit from one of the best exposures in the appellation.

A true symbol of the estate, La Truffière owes its name to this unique environment. All these assets contribute to give the wine its distinctive signature: a complex structure of great finesse, between power and elegance. A great wine with character.

At the heart of the Origins

A veritable “secret garden” in the Bordeaux region, the Canon-Fronsac appellation is a confidential 250-hectare vineyard located at the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers.

An exceptional terroir close to the Saint-Émilion appellation, Canon-Fronsac owes its typical character to the “molasse du Fronsadais”, limestone and clay-limestone soils found on plateaus and hillsides, while the lower slopes are clay-silica in nature.
