BIODIVERSITY and GEOLOGICAL RICHNESS” WORKSHOP

The vineyards of Château Cassagne Haut-Canon are located on the highest point of the Fronsac region. It enjoys one of the best exposures in the Canon-Fronsac appellation, and a breathtaking view of the meandering Dordogne river. With its steep slopes, our 15-hectare single vineyard is naturally divided into numerous plots surrounded by hedges and copses. In order to preserve its exceptional biodiversity, we have been developing natural grassing of the vineyard for many years. To our great delight, we have found numerous plant and animal species in the midst of the vines. Several varieties of wild orchid are also present.
